``Five Girls (First Edition)'' is a collection of works by Sam Haskins, one of postwar South Africa's leading photographers. Born in 1926, he went to London after the war to study at a photography school, and after returning home he founded a studio in Johannesburg. At first, Haskins only shot commercials and journalism, but this is a collection of works he has compiled by photographing a total of five women (Beth Gil, Anna, Helmi, and Schaal), including his wife's sister and the friends she brought with her. This is my first book, ``Five Girls.'' At a time when portraits of women in posed poses were the norm, the depiction of women in their natural bodies moving freely was something new, and the film features intimate interactions with five women, a mix of professional and amateur models. Haskins later said that this was a key factor in the film's success. This is the prologue to Haskins Dream.
