``Hair'' is a collection of works by Naoki Ishikawa (1977-), a photographer representing contemporary Japan. Majoring in history and folklore at Waseda University, he traveled the world from his student days due to his knowledge of humanity and folklore, and at the age of 23, he was the world's youngest person at the time and set a record for climbing the highest peaks on seven continents. In recent years, he has released works set in cities from remote areas around the world, and has won the Japan Photographic Association Award for Newcomer and the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award for his works ``New Dimension'' and ``Polar.'' In 2011, he also won the Domon Ken Award for Corona. Furthermore, Ishikawa is a talented non-fiction writer, having been awarded the Ken Kaiko Award, and this is a unique work that uses women's hair as its motif. He was curious about the hair of a woman he met during the filming of Kunisaki Peninsula, which is also included in a collection of his works, and instead of photographing her face, he focused on her hair, making him imagine many things about that person and that woman's charms.
