``Spatial Poem (Signed)'' is a collection of works by Mieko Shiomi (1938-), one of Japan's leading contemporary musicians and artists. Graduated from the Department of Musical Science at Tokyo University of the Arts. While composing and improvising performances, he pursued conceptual thinking and developed an interest in visual artistic expression, not limited to sound. Introduced by June Paik, he joined the Fluxus movement in the 1960s. "Spatial Poem" was performed from 1965 until 1975, including some interruptions, and is a form of social art that views the earth (world map) as a stage. Shiomi will send invitations to artists from all over the world for an "Event," and each will write a report on their performance and return it to Shiomi. Shiomi collages the report onto a map to create a ``poetry'', an artistic form of communication. A total of nine events were held with unique themes such as "words," "direction," and "shadow." This is a valuable collection of records from those 10 years. Signed by the artist .
