``Manhattan Out'' is a photo book by Raymond Depardon, one of France's leading photographers. After working as a photographer's assistant in his hometown, Depardon began reporting on Algeria as a press photographer in Paris, and continued to follow Africa for over 30 years. Since the 1980s, he has expanded his field of activity to include Europe, America, Asia, and South America, and has left behind many wonderful works of journalism and artistry. On the other hand, as a film director, he has produced over 20 documentaries and is one of France's leading figures in the photography and film worlds. Depardon has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1979, and as the title suggests, this book is a collection of works composed of images taken in Manhattan, New York. This book depicts the dynamic energy and diversity of cities through everyday life, cityscapes, architecture, and landscapes.
