Keelung Taiwan is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Michio Yamauchi. Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1950, graduated from Waseda University in 1975, and Tokyo College of Photography in 1982. Yamauchi, who studied under Daido Moriyama and continued to exhibit his work at the legendary photo gallery CAMP, is a sniper who consistently takes street snapshots. So far, he has published images taken not only in Tokyo, but also in Hong Kong, India, Bangladesh, and Hawaii, with the Hong Kong work winning the 22nd Ina Nobuo Award, and the Bangladesh (Dhaka) work winning the 35th Ina Nobuo Award. He received the Kaidomon Ken Award. This work is a winner of the 20th Hayashi Tadahiko Award, and is a book based on the port town of Keelung in northern Taiwan. Mainly monochrome, but some colors are also included.
