"Hana Life Limited Edition" is a photo book by Nobuyoshi Araki, also known as Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers. This book is a photo book published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Kyoto and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, with the theme of "flowers," which Araki has been photographing for many years. Araki began photographing flowers in the early 1970s, when he photographed dying flowers placed on a grave at Jokanji Temple in Minowa, where his parents lived. Since then, he has devoted himself to photographing flowers, and has released series such as ``Scenery'', ``Flower Songs'', and ``Erotic Flowers''. I use a variety of methods to capture the freshness, bright colors, and sometimes even decayed objects, such as close-ups or setting them in vases. This can be said to be a compilation of Araki's flower photography, which depicts flowers as serene as still life, to sensual and lewd images typical of Araki, to those in which the petals are colored with paint. A new painting, ``Flower Painting,'' is also included. By the way, there is also a popular version and softcover, but this is a special edition limited to 1,501 copies, with almost twice as many illustrations as the popular version, and the cover also includes a "Polaroid" signed by Araki.
