Genichiro Inokuma (1902-1993) is a representative painter of postwar Japan who studied under painter Henri Matisse and continued to create abstract and challenging works based in New York, Japan. This book, ``Monomono'', is made up of objects that Inokuma and his wife Fumiko have purchased from all over the world, as well as their own prototypes, chosen by stylist Miyoko Okao, photographed by photographer Takashi Homma, and photographed by graphic designer Atsushi Kikuchi. This is a book that I edited and designed myself. Speaking of Inokuma's collection, the ``Painter's Toy Box'' photographed by Shunji Okura is also famous, but this book depicts traditional ethnic crafts, industrial items, furniture, dolls, toys, etc. against a white background. Posted one by one. The miscellaneousness of the pieces gives a sense of Inokuma's uniqueness as an artist, and in addition, the comments by Okao and Honma that are attached to each object, like Zen questions and answers, give us a glimpse of Inokuma's personality. The end of the book includes an essay by author Toshiyuki Horie. Published in 2014, 3rd printing.
