``1980s Remnants'' is a collection of works by Daido Moriyama, a world-famous photographer representing postwar Japan. His first work in the 1960s was ``Nippon Theater Photo Book'', the immortal masterpiece ``Goodbye to Photography'' in the 70s, and ``Light and Shadow'' in the early 80s, which was created after a temporary slump. After this masterpiece, which can be called an early trilogy, several works were published by Sokyusha in the 1980s. One is "Moriyama Daido 1970-1979," which picks up works from the 1970s, and the other is "Journey to Nakaji," a homage to Nakaji Yasui, whom I admire. At that time, Michitaka Ota was relying on Akira Hasegawa and others to edit his photographs, but after that he started doing the editing himself. What was left out was put together in a new form and became the same work, ``Yowa.''
