A Box of Ku (Signed & Stamp) is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Masao Yamamoto (1957-), who is based in Japan and has exhibited all over the world. This book was Yamamoto's first photo book, which made him known to the world, and was released by the American publisher Nazraeli Press. The size and texture of Yamamoto's photographs are the main characteristics of his work, but this book is made up of copies of his works. "A Box of Ku" is an early series of his work that has been shown in solo exhibitions since 1993, and although the images depicted are fragments of everyday life, such as landscapes, flowers, and trees, the exquisite composition and color tones used in the work give them a unique poetic feeling. The following is an explanation by Hiromi Nakamura (curator at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum): "His photographs, whether they are just one or hundreds, exist with the same atmosphere. The fragmentary images that accumulate without any information about the place, date of shooting, or episodes, still evoke a certain emotion in the viewer." Comes with a booklet and is signed and stamped by the photographer .
