``Capitolio'' is a photo book by Magnum Photo photographer Christopher Anderson, who was born in Canada and grew up in Texas. Born in 1970, he learned film developing and printing techniques at a photo lab, and in 1993 began working as a cameraman at a newspaper company in Colorado. After becoming a freelancer, he became active as a journalist, covering topics such as the economic crisis in Russia and the refugee issue in Pakistan, and in 2001 won the Robert Capa Gold Medal for his work on Haitian immigrants. In particular, he is a photographer who excels in color depictions that are reasonably restrained, and has published collections of works such as ``Nonfiction'' (2003) and ``SON'' (2013). This book is a rare large-format collection of Anderson's works that are completely black and white, and are composed of images taken in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela during the revolution. This is a documentary that captures a city in turmoil and the people living there, filled with violence, fear, sadness, and sometimes joy.
