Redheaded Peckerwood (First Edition) is a collection of works by American photographer Christian Patterson. Born in Wisconsin in 1972, Patterson moved to Memphis in 2002 to study under the master of color photography, William Eggleston, where he spent three years. In 2008, he published Sound Affects, a collection of color visuals shot in Memphis, and this is Patterson's second book, which made his name known to the world. Based on the 1958 murder case "Starkweather-Fugate" (19-year-old Charles Starkweather and 14-year-old Caril Ann Fugate murdered 10 people) that occurred in Nebraska, this unique concept book combines non-fiction such as photos of the scene at the time and copies of traces of documents with fiction spun by Patterson. This is a collection of works that draws you into a story that combines journalistic elements and unique storytelling. First edition published in 2011. A book published in "The Photobook: A History Volume III".
