A collection of works by Shigekazu Nagano (1925-2019), one of Japan's leading photographers, "Distant Gaze (Signed)". Under Yonosuke Natori, he was in charge of about 60 photo shoots as a staff member of "Iwanami Shashin Bunko" before becoming a freelance photographer. . Although he established himself as a photojournalist, he later shifted his focus to the world of commercials such as movies and TV commercials, and the number of his own works has decreased. However, in the 1980s, he started wandering the streets of Tokyo with his camera in hand again, photographing serious and humorous patterns unique to urban spaces. This series of works was published in the collection Distant Gaze (1992), which won the 11th Ina Nobuo Award. This book is a revised and expanded version of the first edition, with new works not included in the 1992 edition, edited by Michitaka Ota of Sokyusha. Signed by the photographer .
