Shoji Ueda, one of Japan's leading post-war photographers, presents a photo book "Sand Dunes Seasons of the Children (Fair Copy)". Born in Sakaiminato, Tottori Prefecture in 1913, Masaharu Ueda began photography at the age of 17 and continued taking photographs for about 70 years until his death in 2000. Due to the chaos of the evacuation, he lost the negatives he had taken before the war. After the war, he exhibited his work in camera magazines and at solo exhibitions, and although he received high acclaim, he was known only to those in the know. The opportunity for Ueda to spread his wings nationwide and to the world was in the 1970s. This eleventh book in the series also had enough of an impact to make its name known. Based on the children's calendar, it is composed of illustrations taken from around 1950 to 1970. The four seasons and climate are shown. (Severe discoloration of cover spine)
