A collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Ryuji Miyamoto. Born in Tokyo in 1947. Participated with Kosai Hori and Miyako Ishiuchi in the Bikyoto, an avant-garde artistic expression themed on politics and art during student disputes at Tama Art University. . After working as an editor for an architectural magazine, he became an independent photographer in the late 1970s. Since then, he has photographed the ruins and demolition process sites of historical buildings in Japan and around the world, going against the economic development of cities and civilizations. He is a photographer who has released many meaningful works that evoke memories of history and time that are being forgotten. The series was compiled in 1988 as a collection of works "Architectural Implications" and won the 14th Kimura Ihei Photography Award, but this book was published by Steildl in Germany in the late 90's. This collection includes many of his representative works, including the Great Awaji Earthquake, Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong, Nakano Prison in Tokyo, Sapporo Beer Brewery in Ebisu, and more.
