A photo book "Wonder Land 1990-1999: Mole Unit No.10" by Mitsugu Onishi, one of Japan's leading photographers. Mitsugu Onishi has consistently photographed the eastern part of Tokyo where she lives from the perspective of a shitamachi resident. This time, in the final 10th issue of the "MOLE Unit" series, which was published in a series from "MOLE" presided over by Motoi Tsuda, Toshiro Kuwabara, Akihide Tamura, Shin Yanagisawa, Osamu Kanemura, Masato Seto, Kazuo Hira , Erika Yoshino, Michio Yamauchi, Akira Yoshimura, and the masters of snapshots and landscapes will take over the baton, and Onishi will serve as the final. Like a sequel to the masterpiece "Wonder Land 1980 - 1989" released in 1989, it consists of illustrations taken in the 90's, and the text by Onishi in the separate booklet is also interesting. In particular, the chapter titled "To Mr. K" describes "Masaaki Kasuga (K)" who was influenced by Osamu Kanemura. The magnificence of Kasuga's stripped-down "photographs" is discussed, while the contrast between Onishi's own "emotional" and "nostalgic" works is interesting.
