A photo book of Japanese photographer Kiyoshi Suzuki. Born in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, he moved to Tokyo after working at a printing shop while attending school at night, learning the process of making block copy and printing, and spending a life smelling ink. Initially aspiring to be a manga artist, he was influenced by Ken Domon's photographs and began to become a photographer. He made his debut with Camera Mainichi in a series depicting the coal mine in Iwaki City where he was born and raised. This book is a long-awaited reprint of the phantom 1st photobook published in 1972 in a limited edition of 1,500 copies. Starting with "a distant day in the hometown" centered on the works of the coal mine town series, "the middle of summer" depicting people and landscapes from all over Japan, "actor of a flowing journey" closely related to the troupe of popular theater, and myself. A four-part composition connected by a photographic image "at night". A book driven by sentimental nostalgia, filled with moist and enka-like tones, which he said, "Enka that is too honest with Japanese sensibilities and feels like Harumi Miyako." A collection of virgin works by Japan's leading photographers who have been particular about publishing at their own expense and have continued to have an extraordinary commitment to creating photo books such as editing and binding (booklet missing).
