Kazuo Kitai's photo book "Resistance", one of Japan's leading photographers. During the Nihon University College of Art, the student movement flourished, Kitai continued to take pictures as a reportage of the anti-combat movement and the Zenkyoto movement, and from 1969, the lifestyle of people who continue to live in the struggle against the construction of the New Tokyo International Airport. I will summarize it as "Sanrizuka". In the 1970s, he published a number of masterpieces such as "To the Village", which documents the lives of rural people left behind in the high-growth era, and "Ihei Kimura Paris" as a representative of "Norasha". Even after the 1980s, he is a documentary photographer who has presented works that portray the daily lives of people living in Ichii from a unique perspective, and has continued to capture ordinary everyday life with a warm look, with excellent theme setting and outstanding aesthetics. This book is the 1st photo book that Kitai made when he was a student, and he dropped out of college in the same year. It is a picture of the opposition movement against the call of a nuclear submarine to the Yokosuka U.S. military base. I am. A valuable collection of early works that also includes the text of the writer and poet Mitsuharu Inoue.
