American photographer Mike Disfarmer's photo book "Becoming Disfarmer". Real name Mike Myers. Meyer, who changed his surname to "Disfamer" to break away from a family with agricultural roots, runs a photo studio in Heber Spring, Arkansas, and shoots mainly portraits of local families from the 1930s to the 1940s. I was a commercial photographer. He died in 1959 without making a name for himself during his lifetime, but more than 10 years after his death, 4,200 negatives were discovered. It seems that most of the photographs were taken by families who run cotton farmers, but the recordability that faithfully expresses the historical facts of the times and the artistry that clearly captures the human nature of the subject have been highly evaluated, and since then it has been exhibited worldwide. Is being held. In order to trace the roots of Disfarmer, this book is full of highlights, from records before the studio was founded, articles introduced in newspapers and magazines, letters and memos written by himself, and even major works.
