American photographer Emmet Gowin's photo book "Petra (Unopened)". Since the 1960s, Gowin has been active in a variety of fields, from intimate portraits of his wife Edith and his family to landscapes of the deep natural environment set in the United States and Europe. An artist who studied under Harry Callahan at the Rhode Island School of Design and later under Frederick Sommer, himself has been an artist for many years in the Department of Visual Arts at Princeton University's Department of Humanities. This book is Gowin's masterpiece "Petra", a photo book published at the time of the exhibition held in 1986. Petra, a Jordanian valley, was invited by a woman who was a student at Princeton University and later became the queen of the Kingdom of Hashemite, Jordan. A book composed of illustrations of quiet, mysterious, and breathtakingly beautiful archaeological sites, which were described as "Rose-Red Stone" because of their appearance. Mysterious beauty by a photographer who was fascinated by the scenery that changes with time and the unique atmosphere created by the long history. New unopened.
