A collection of works by Genichiro Inokuma, one of the leading Japanese painters of the 20th century, "Walls in NYC". Born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1902, he studied Western painting under Takeji Fujishima at the Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts, and was selected for the Imperial Art Institute Exhibition from his student days. Inokuma Genichiro, who took a different position and formed the New Production Association (currently the New Production Association) in 1936, attracted attention as a modernist. After that, I continued to work while moving the base of activities to Paris, New York, and Hawaii. In 1991, the Marugame Genichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art opened in Marugame City, and died in 1993. This book is a collection of works taken in New York from the late 1950s to the 1960s. Edited by Risaku Suzuki. Below, from the text, "As soon as I arrived in New York, I surrounded the pictures of graffiti on the wall, traces of peeling off advertising posters, junk on the street, etc. I made slides, but the graffiti is pure. It's a word that leaves the human heart on the wall. The color, shape, and age of the writer are all different, but they all speak different shapes. It's more than a word. Its natural expression. It was really interesting, and I finally took a picture. "
