Great amateur photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue's photo book "The Autochromes of JH Lartigue". Although his main business is a painter, Lartigue has been keeping a photo diary since he was a child, shooting the daily life and leisure scenes of his wealthy family and friends as a hobby. Especially active and dynamic snapshots such as play and sports are famous. Lartigue's first solo exhibition at MoMA in New York was held in 1963, before he was 60 years old, edited by Richard Avedon and published worldwide in the 1970 Diary of a Century. After being in the limelight, his works have been highly evaluated all over the world including Japan, and many photo books have been published since then. This is a collection of works composed of color plates created by the initial color technique "Autochrome" before Kodachrome. A series of wonderful illustrations with a taste and atmosphere.
