"Passengers" is a collaborative work by German photographer Dagmar Keller and Swedish photographer Martin Whitwer. Both of them, who were alumni of the prestigious Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts, where famous professors and graduates such as Mr. and Mrs. Becher, Joseph Beuys, and Gerhard Richter are listed, started their activities as a duo in 1997. This book is a collection of works published by the Leipzig publisher the following year after receiving the "Dummy Book Award" at the Photobook Festival held in Le Bal in 2012. At the bus stop, it consists of illustrations of the passenger "Passenger" taken from the outside through the window. Depending on the dew on the windows and how the lights hit, people's facial expressions sometimes shift to illusions, sometimes mysteries, and sometimes disturbing. It's also interesting as a new way of expressing portraits, and the dark tone that reminds me of Todd Hido is even more beautiful, fueling mystery. This is a recommended book.
