This is a collection of works by leading Japanese photographer Herbie Yamaguchi. Born in Tokyo in 1950, Yamaguchi moved to the UK after graduating from Tokyo Keizai University in 1973. During his time there, he joined the experimental art troupe "Red Buddha," led by musician Tsutomu Yamashita, and performed on stage as a supporting actor in approximately 100 performances per year. In the mid-1970s, he joined the British photography group "Quality of Life," exhibiting his work in the UK and France, while also photographing the thriving rock and punk music scene in the UK. He shared a boarding house with Boy George when he was still unknown, and was the only Japanese photographer able to capture his private life. In the 1980s, he was recognized by Men's Bigi's Takeo Kikuchi and returned to Japan, where he became active in the world of fashion commercials. This is a new edition of his 2003 collection, featuring works shot in London from the 1970s to the 1990s. This book is packed with the charm of London, from famous artists like Vivienne Westwood to gentlemen, ladies, boys, and girls, focusing on the music scene, including Joe Strummer of The Clash and a young U2. Comes with a dust jacket and one print .
