"La Ragione della Natura" (English: The Reason of Nature) is a photobook by Italian photographer Luigi Ghiri. With the reprint of his classic photobook "Kodachrome" and the publication of "Lectures on Photography" by Misuzu Shobo, Luigi Ghiri's popularity has been rekindled both in Japan and abroad. This book was published in 1986 at the request of Ghiri's hometown of Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, and was photographed and directed by Ghiri to convey the charm of the local nature and greenery. Not only can you enjoy the beauty of Ravenna, but it is also a book that condenses Ghiri's "nature work" from the 1980s, when he continued to explore the relationship between nature and landscape, and nature and architecture. It contains about half of the images that Ghiri took for this project, and the remaining images were scheduled to be published, but they have not yet been published. However, a facsimile of some of the works was published in a supplementary volume of "La Carte D'apres Nature" by the London publisher MACK in 2010. This is one of the rare collections of works left by Luigi Ghiri during his lifetime, and the beauty of the plates is captivating. Contains 47 plates. Limited to 2,000 copies.
