Photo book "Man and Woman" by Eikoh Hosoe, one of Japan's leading photographers. Through collaboration with artists such as writer Yukio Mishima ("rose punishment") and dancer Tatsumi Hijikata ("kama putoshi"), he is free to pursue the issues of "life" and "sex" that lie deep within humans. Hideko Hosoe was instrumental in experimental photographic expression. His work, incorporating its conceptual style and Japanese elements, has been described as one of the world's recognized postwar Japanese photographs. This book is Eikoh Hosoe's 1st photo book, and was awarded the Japan Photography Critics Association Newcomer's Award in his solo exhibition in 1960. According to the photographer, "We tried to capture the human drama in the dark, like a ritual in a closed room." And an excerpt from a writer, Seiki Matsumoto's contribution, "A world with a mysterious fantasy. Isn't he trying to explore human truth in its poetic composition using the most modern void?" . An early masterpiece of Eikoh Hosoe, who released the body to a nude object and extracted the drama that antagonized the two sexes with vivid contrast. Published and reprinted in 2006. Missing obi-band.
