This book is a photo book published by the Japan Council against Atomic Bombs, and was published to convey to the world the devastation after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. "Hiroshima" is by Ken Domon, a photographer representing the 20th century and an advocate of realism photography, and "Nagasaki" is by Ihei Kimura and Ken Domon, who have both avant-garde visual depictions and documents. While inheriting the "recorded photographs", it is taken by Shomei Tomatsu, who skillfully incorporates "subjectivity" and "sense" and has led to a new trend in Japanese photography in the 1960s and 1970s after the war. Both of them publish independently one of the best masterpiece photographs of the 20th century with the theme of "Hiroshima" and "Nagasaki", but this contains 21 Hiroshima plates of Domon and 71 Nagasaki plates by Higashimatsu. The book design is also co-starred by a gorgeous artist named Kohei Sugiura and Kiyoshi Awazu. Gravure printing is also valuable. Published in Parr & Badger Vol.1 and The Japanese Photobook 1912–1990. All texts are in English and come with a booklet.
