Floh (Signed) is a collection of works by British female artist Tacita Dean (1965-). Dean is known for her visual works using film, but also for her art works that are not limited to any particular media, such as photography, painting, and even sound. This collection was published by Steidl in 2001, and is a collection of Dean's works, edited from Dean's perspective using photographs she found at flea markets in the United States and Europe. She arranges, spreads, scatters, and paints over ordinary amateur photographs that are inserted into so-called family albums, such as portraits, holiday snapshots, and documents of family and friends, breathing new life into what has been lost and elevating them to the level of a work of art. This is a book of extremely high quality, even among the works of "found photography." Limited to 4,000 copies. Includes edition number.
