This book is a collection of catalog works published at the exhibition "Societe Ilfu Fukuoka's Avant-garde Photography and Paintings" held at the Fukuoka Art Museum from January to March 2021. Society ILF is an avant-garde art group formed in Fukuoka before the war. The main members are Wataru Takahashi (1999-1944), Hisashi Kuno (1903-1946), Giichiro Xu (1896-1951), Yoshinori Tanaka (1903-1963), Kazuto Yoshizaki (1912-1984), and painters. Kenshi Ito (1907-1978) and Iwataro Koike (1913-1992), a designer. While incorporating the latest art that was transmitted to Japan in the 1930s, he continued to pursue new beauty and created a swell that was comparable to the avant-garde movements of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka of the same era.
