"Quinault" is a collection of works by Yoshihiko Ueda, one of Japan's leading photographers. In 2018, he released "68th Street," which was set in New York and became a hot topic. . The beauty and high quality of Ueda's illustrations inevitably demand the same high quality materials and designs. This is Ueda's representative work taken in the early to mid-1990s, composed of landscapes taken in the "forest" named by American Indians. While looking for a place to shoot portraits with the forest in the background, Ueda stumbled across the forest day after day carrying an 8x10. I was attracted to the atmosphere and continued shooting in search of "something that dwells in the forest." Since then, my journey in search of the mysteries of the forest has continued to Yakushima, which is also summarized in Materia (2012). Published in 2003, first edition.
