"Alice (Special Edition, Signed)" by Japanese photographer Sawatari Saku. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art, Department of Photography, he worked as an assistant to Takanashi Yutaka before going freelance. Since then, Sawatari has worked as a fashion photographer for many famous magazines, and in the 1970s he made a name for himself by publishing innocent, beautiful, and sometimes fantastical portraits of girls and women, such as "Doll House in the Forest," "Nadia," and "The Girl from the Sea." Even after the 1980s, Sawatari Saku has continued to be active at the forefront, mainly in the works of artists and idols. This book is a new edition of the commemorative first book published in 1973 with a design by Horiuchi Seiichi, a collection of photographs of the British girl Samantha as a model. As with the first edition, 60 pieces have been selected from unpublished works. Includes an interview with Sawatari Saku by the editor of the first edition, Kuwabara Shigeo, and a commentary by photography critic Iizawa Kotaro. Also included is a special essay by poet Hiromu Homura and a first edition exclusive bromide of an unreleased cut.
