"The Prototype Works", a photo book by American photographer Luis Boltz. Boltz is a representative photographer of New Topography, who was also selected for the exhibition "Human-Changed Landscape Photography" at the George Eastman House exhibition in 1975. While continuing the styles of Edward Weston and Paul Strand, they did not target the sublime natural beauty they contained, capturing the natural appearance transformed by human activities from a neutral perspective and continuing in the 1980s Contepon rally photographer who formed the cornerstone of contemporary art photography. This book is composed of works that Boltz studied for his own photo prototype that he worked on over the years from the latter half of the 1960s. Through everyday objects that seem to be overlooked, we research the subject behind selection, distance, composition, and color scheme, and the culture behind them, to create a vast perspective and minimalist style. Boltz's introductory work leading up to the 80's masterpiece.
