This book is the 1987 Spring / Summer collection catalog of the collection brand "Tokio Kumagai Femme". Born in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture in 1947, after graduating from Bunka Fashion College, moved to France in his early twenties. After that, after working as an assistant for Castel Bajak, he became a freelance designer in 1972. Established a design office in Paris in 1980. The following year, he set up a boutique on Place des Victoire in 1981 and on Rue Saint-Honoré in 1982. Rei Kawakubo and Yohji Yamamoto gave Paris Fashion Week a "black impact" in 1981, so Tokio Kumagai was one of the first to be recognized in Paris. Starting with shoe design, ready-to-wear design has also begun in earnest, and died suddenly in 1987 while announcing the men's and ladies' line. After that, the brand continued to exist, led by Yoichi Nagasawa and Masaki Matsushima, but the brand ended in 1991. This catalog is a valuable collection line for ladies during Kumagaya's life. The image and visuals are handled by master Peter Lindbergh, and the layout is handled by graphic designer Bernard Baissait.
