Photobook "The may sun (Unopened)" by American photographer Terri Weifenbach (1957-). After studying painting at the University of Maryland, Weifenbach began making photographs in the 1970s and has been producing works with natural landscapes as a motif. It is characterized by its vibrant colors like paintings and its pinpoint focus, and the photo books published so far have been highly evaluated. The exhibition "Gift" with Rinko Kawauchi held at IMA gallery in 2014 is also new to my memory. In "The may sun," which was produced by staying at IZU PHOTO MUSEUM for a long time, plants and flowers were projected with a pretty and delicate image, and in the second half, when I met the pressed flower book "Pressed Flowers from the Holy Land" in the 19th century.
