Richard Misrach's photo book "Desert Cantos (Softcover)" is one of America's leading photographers. Mizurak has been active since the 1970s, starting photography at the same time as majoring in psychology at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley. At the beginning of the activity, he released "Telegraph 3 AM", which is full of subculture colors, including young people living and playing in Barkley, homeless snaps, graffiti, landscapes, etc., but after that, the style changed completely. A "new topographics" perspective that incorporates political, economic, social, and environmental issues with nature as a motif, as represented by "Desert Cantos", and an aesthetic "new color" I have been engaged in creative activities centered on the works expressed in. Consideration of the relationship between "human beings" and "nature" has always been the central motif of Mizurak's work, and in the 2000s masterpiece "On the Beach", the existence of human beings in nature is "small". "Sasa" is clearly depicted. This book is an early masterpiece of Mizurak mentioned above, and consists of a landscape that poetically describes the western part of the United States destroyed and devastated by humans.
