A collection of works by Yukio Tabuchi, one of Japan's leading photographers after the war. Yukio Tabuchi has been a leader in Japan's "natural photography" and "insect ecology photography" as a photographer, writer, and naturalist. Started taking mountain photographs before the war, and started full-scale ecological research on alpine butterflies in Nagano prefecture, which was evacuated at the end of the war. In 1951, as a maiden work, "Yukio Tabuchi Mountain Photo Masterpiece Collection" (Asahi Shimbun) Was announced, and it was a late-blooming debut at the age of 46. After that, as a result of his research, he published "Himegifucho" and "Takayamacho", both of which are counted as the monumental figures of nature photography in Japan. Tabuchi has been highly evaluated for his artistic sensibility, which is not limited to general nature photographers and researchers, as he is so particular about the layout and editing of his works. This book is the 11th issue of the 40-volume "Japanese Photographer" series published by Iwanami Shoten in the 90's, and Tabuchi's main works are composed in monochrome (and some colors). Includes Kotaro Iizawa's "Poet's Territory".
