British photographer John Blakemore's photo book "The Stilled Gaze (Signed)". Born in Coventry, England in 1936, Blakemore encountered photography during his military service in the Air Force and has since studied photography on his own. Inspired by the historic exhibition "The Family of Man" by Edward Steichen, then director of photography at MoMA in 1955, Blakemore is a testament to the post-war reconstruction through portraits of local Coventry people. Document. He has been engaged in photography education at the University of Derby for about 30 years since 1971, and has been awarded the title of Professor Emeritus in recognition of his great achievements. This book is a representative work of Breakmore composed of the still life of tulips taken from the 1980s to the 90s. The multifaceted charm of tulips is delicately portrayed through the contrast of white and black, light and shadow. There are many masterpieces of photographic works with flowers as motifs, but it is rare to find a work that brings out the various charms of flowers while maintaining a sense of intimacy with the subject. This is a recommended book. Autographed by a photographer .
