Japanese photographer Takayuki Ogawa's photo collection “New York Is”. In the early 1960s, he worked for the Bunshu Spring and Autumn photography department, and later became a freelancer seeking his own photography. I moved to New York for about a year and captured the turbulent New York that was in the midst of the Vietnam War and civil rights movement at that time. His work is highly appreciated, and after returning to Japan, he will receive numerous solo exhibitions and awards in Japan. In the United States, Nathan Lions, the famous director of George Eastman House and the organizer of the legendary exhibition “Toward a Social Landscape” in 1967, has also held solo exhibitions. This book introduces New York in the 1960s, which is uniquely depicted with its cool and loving eyes. Commented by Robert Frank, who is intimate with Ogawa and who named the title of this title, “I think you have New York in your photo. A wonderful book published by Akio Nagasawa in 2012, limited to 1,000 copies. DVD appendix.
