Japanese photographer Jin Sato's photobook "Action Portrait" GIG "Tokyo Rockers 1978-1986". Born in Sendai in 1940, Sato dropped out of photography school and studied photography under the influence of New York rock photographer Bob Gruen. In his 30s, he became famous for shooting music scenes, and in his 40s and later, he presented contemporary art, butoh-related, and even urban landscape works. In recent years, Sendai has suffered great damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Yes, I photographed the tsunami scene on the Pacific coast that was damaged and presented it at a solo exhibition. This book is a masterpiece of an indie photo book, a masterpiece of Jin Sato, published in 1986. In the latter half of the 1970s, the underground people perceived a series of rock culture movements that aggressively promoted themselves, performed gigs, and produced and sold independent records as "Tokyo Rockers" in a broad sense. Contains 10 indie band portraits, the music scene, and a backstage scene. Separate catalog missing.
