Japanese photographer Yasuhiko Uchihara's photo book "Son of a BIT". Although a late-blooming artist who began taking photographs in his 30s, he won the Grand Prix at both the 2002 Epson Color Imaging Contest and the 2003 New Cosmos of Photography Exhibition. His unique style, which makes use of the characteristics of digital photography that cannot be expressed with analogue, such as its rapidity, versatility, simplicity, and color development, seems to symbolize the "modern" era. According to Uchihara, “The reality of digital photography is like a savage, limitless urge to go outside.” In this book, the image of the word is exactly expressed, and the overwhelming amount of material and information shot in breaking news and production. A world of chaos that you cannot imagine from the cover photo. It is edited from the works that Uchihara took about 6 hours every day in the metropolitan area, including Tokyo and Asia. This is a concerto-like photo collection full of individuality that combines the digital "agency" and the "artistry" that finds beauty in the world of chaos. Posted in Parr&Badger Vol.Ⅲ.
