"Pocket Tokyo" is a collection of works by Ikko Narahara (1931-2020), one of Japan's leading photographers. The large-scale exhibition "Ikko Narahara Photographs: The Promised Journey to Spain" held at the Setagaya Museum of Art from 2019 to 20 is a new memory for Narahara, but the end of this exhibition is over. He passed away on January 20, 2020, a week later. While many photographers who were active after the war were active in "Japan", Narahara jumped out to "overseas" earlier than the 1960s and continued to take pictures in "Europe" and "America". I did. The works of "Japan" and "Japanesque", which have been re-examined from a foreign perspective, are also highly evaluated. In this book, Narahara, who returned to life with the naked eye to fight illness for nearly three years around 1990, restarted as a photographer by copying "Tokyo" after returning. This is a book composed of photographed color works. Designed by Mitsuo Katsui, an ally.
