Japanese photographer Osamu Murai (1928-2016) “Time and Life”. Osamu Murai, one of the leading photographers of post-war Japanese architectural photography, was also famous for creating sculptors and artwork. Serialized the cover photo of the doujinshi "Z" by Setouchi Shizuku and others, engaged in architectural photography by Kenzo Tange, Kunio Maekawa, Junichi Shirai, etc., and sculpture photography by a world-renowned artist, Masayuki Yuki. In addition, he has been active in the shooting of overseas magazines such as LIFE and FORTUNE, and many architectural and sculpture related works since the 1960s have engraved the name of Osamu Murai. This book is a collection of works published in September 2016 from the “Murai Osamu Photo Exhibition” held in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture, the hometown of Murai. 98 illustrations including monographs and unpublished works such as snaps, landscapes, architecture and sculptures taken in Japan and overseas in the 1950s and 2000s are recorded in monochrome and color. The photo exhibition was held for about a month, and soon after the session ended, Osamu Murai passed away with thanks to his hometown.
