A collection of works by Kiyoshi Awazu, the designer who led the post-war graphic design, Kiyoshi Awazu Design Illustration (First Edition / First Edition). Born in 1929. Studied painting and design on his own, and in 1955 he received the Nichinomi Prize for the poster work “Return the Sea” at the “Japan Advertising Art Exhibition” which was a gateway to graphic designers at the time. In 1960, he participated in the group “Metabolism” created by Kisho Kurokawa and other architects. Kiyoshi Awazu has created an image full of originality that is distinct from the trend of modern design after the war, such as Yusaku Kamekura. Although he passed away in 2009, his unique creativity is still stimulating today, with many exhibitions held after his death. This book is a collection of works published by Tabata Shoten in 1970. A reprint version is also available in 2006, but this is the original. Includes early sketches and works from the 50s. Many of the graphic designs that can only be described as Kiyoshi Awazu, such as high-impact posters, intelligent bindings, unique illustrations, and magical works using seals and letters, are still attractive without fading. .
