“Oneness” is a collection of works by Japanese female artist Mariko Mori. Born in 1967. Mariko Mori studied at Chelsea College of Art in London, then moved to New York and completed an independent study program at the Whitney Museum of Art. The 1997 Venice Biennale is a worldwide contemporary artist based in New York and has won awards for excellence in the video installation “Nirvana”. This book is a catalog of the exhibition “Oneness”, which has toured the world since 2007. This is a summary of activities from Nirvana for about 10 years, and includes reference drawings in the background of each work, including three-dimensional to graphical ones. Many Buddhist items such as Buddha statues and mandalas are cited, but the title Oneness also shows Buddhist thinking such as harmony and unity. This collection of works that has won the world's book design award is also attracting attention for its simple yet clever binding.
