"Nippon Gekijo Shashincho (2018, Signed)" is a collection of works by Daido Moriyama, a representative Japanese photographer. This book is Daido Moriyama's debut work and masterpiece, and the first edition was published by Muromachi Shobo in 1968. It was later republished in 1995 by Shinchosha as part of the "Photo Musee" series, and in 2011, Kodansha published a book-sized collection of works designed by Satoru Machiguchi. This was published by Getsuyosha in 2018 and has a different "large-format" and "hardcover" binding from past collections, and this design is also followed in "Light and Shadow," "Hunter," and "Goodbye Photography," which Getsuyosha plans to republish from 2018 to 2019. At the end of the book, Daido Moriyama writes a text entitled "Encounters - The 1960s," in which he reminisces about the time, lamenting the fact that Shuji Terayama, Shoji Yamagishi, Isamu Shimizu, Shiro Tatsumi, Shomei Tomatsu, and Takuma Nakahira, all of whom were close friends during this period, are now deceased.
