Japanese photographer Takashi Kobayashi's photo book “Wabana”. Born in 1951. Takashi Kobayashi became a freelance photographer after opening in 1974 and opened a studio in New York. He returned to Japan in 1987, and photographed people and landscapes with a focus on advertising and won numerous advertising awards. After returning to Japan, many solo exhibitions have been presented. This book is a photo collection of beautiful flowers blooming in the field with a unique touch. “Waka has a modest and deep beauty like a Japanese woman,” says Kobayashi in a postscript, but with a unique atmosphere and composition that can be said to be a painting, the attractive charm and color of flowers. The charm of is cut out. It seems that the background that looks like an ever-changing sky pattern was made by hand, and it changed in various ways with a combination of flowers, and the print seems to use handmade Japanese paper. Along with the flowers, along with haiku phrases such as Matsuo Aoi and Yosada Village, it creates an emotional feeling unique to Japan. A Japanese flower-bird-style moon is cut out in a different way from the natural picture taken by Yukio Tabuchi.
