Japanese photographer Shozo Watari's photo book ``Personal View / Signed, With OBI''. Born in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture in 1935, Watari was a high school baseball player who aspired to reach Koshien as a star pitcher. After graduation, he began taking pictures while working at the Railway Bureau. Around 1960, one of the area's leading photographers, Masaharu Ueda, suddenly visited the area and brought his own work with him. Since then, he has looked up to him as his mentor and is an amateur photographer who has participated in famous contests such as the Nika Exhibition and won numerous awards. This is the first book published in 1999. The work consists of carefully selected monochrome snapshots based on the theme of ``a look at one's surroundings,'' intentionally excluding works that were submitted in a contest. Although they have a vague feel of Masaharu Ueda's style, your eyes will be glued to the many wonderful works that highlight Watari's unique strength and unique perspective. Winner of the 9th Tadahiko Hayashi Award. Comes with obi. Signed by the photographer .
