"Tokyo Love" is a photobook by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki and American female photographer Nan Goldin. It was published in 1994 to coincide with an exhibition held at The Ginza Art Space, edited by Shigeo Goto, with Nakajo Masayoshi and Takashi Homma doing the cover art. "This time, I collaborated with Nan, so I thought I'd try something a little different, and that's why I tried portraits," Araki writes at the beginning of the book. He photographed 100 teenagers (including Hiromix) as "a phenomenon of the times, or the customs of the time." Meanwhile, Goldin stayed in Tokyo for seven weeks and photographed young people in Tokyo, including couples, gays, and lesbians (actor Masatoshi Nagase and photographer Yurie Nagashima also appear). Goldin said of her encounters with the young people, "This project, which started as a documentary, eventually became a journey back to my youth." This book is a collection of photographs by Araki and Goldin depicting young people in Tokyo using their own techniques. Japanese edition.
