"Towards the North (Signed)" is a photo collection of Japanese photographer Daisuke Yokota. Starting with the Grand Prix (2010) at the public exhibition “Photo 1_WALL Exhibition”, which is also a climbing gate for young photographers, “Unseen Photo Fair” (2013), “Photo London / John Kobal Residency Award” (2015), “Paul Huf Award” Daisuke Yokota, who has won awards overseas in 2016 and overseas, and is attracting attention at home and abroad. Together with photographer Koji Kitagawa and Naohiro Udagawa, he formed Spew, and has been engaged in a wide range of activities, including ZINE production and music performance. This book is a collection of photographs issued in 2017, and consists of photographs taken when traveling to Hokkaido in winter. It is a simple construction that only saddle-stitches a bundle of paper such as straw and half paper, but it has a volume of more than 200 pages (like a weekly youth comic book), and one work is placed on each page. It is a collection of snapshots taken with the unique texture of Yokota, in which there are landscapes that make you feel traveled, etc., and even abstract expressions that seemingly project anything around you are mixed in color and monochrome. Photographer signed (Signed) .
