Testimony Against War, a collection of photographs by Hungarian photographer Robert Capa. He is a leading photojournalist of the twentieth century, and, along with Henri Cartier-Bresson, he is one of the founders of the world-wide photo agency Magnum Photo. His real name is Andre Friedman. Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1913, passed away on landmines during coverage of the Indochina War in 1954. The name "Robert Capa" is a "fictional character" created with Gerda Taro, a German-born partner at the time, as a public-private partner, in an effort to market in Europe and the United States as a competent photo journalist. At that time, it seemed to have been taken by collaborative work by Friedman and Taro. My brother Cornell Capa has created the International Photo Center (ICP) to communicate these great achievements to future generations. This book is a catalog of works published in 1995 at the time of the exhibition "Testimony of Robert Capa" which traveled throughout Japan.
