Japanese photographer Ryoji Akiyama's photo book "New York News". After graduating from Waseda University Faculty of Letters, Ryoji Akiyama has been active as a freelancer since 1967 after working at the Associated Press and Asahi Shimbun Photography Department. Since then, as a photo journalist, he has been energetically covering issues such as depopulation of remote islands and hunger in India. He was selected for the exhibition "New Japanese Photography", which was the first full-scale introduction of Japanese photographers, and has a history of holding solo exhibitions in Houston. This book is a collection of snapshots taken in New York in the late 70's. Photographed in all plate colors, as if following the trend since the mid-1970s when the artistic recognition of color photography was spreading. A number of interesting works that intersect a traveler's'unique'perspective and a journalist's'certain'perspective.
